Art Materials

Welcome to my world of creativity, where every brushstroke, mark, and texture tells its own story. This page is a celebration of the wide variety of art materials I use in my practice, from the familiar warmth of graphite and watercolour to the bold energy of acrylics, mixed media, and beyond. Each tool brings its own unique voice, allowing me to explore, experiment, and express ideas in endlessly surprising ways. Whether you’re an artist, a collector, or simply curious, I invite you to discover how these materials shape my process and the artwork I create.

COLOURED PENCILS

Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer coloured pencils are highly regarded for their exceptional quality and versatility. These water-soluble pencils deliver rich, vibrant pigments that blend smoothly with water to create stunning watercolor effects. As an Artist, I appreciate their soft, buttery laydown, excellent lightfastness, and the ability to layer and rework colours even after drying. I purchased the set of 60 pencils.

Below is an example of these beautiful pencils used by myself to draw Peonies and Tiger portrait.

COLOURED PENS

“At the heart of my work lies a quiet reverence for beauty in decay, for example serpents coiled beneath florals, shadows laced through tender forms. I navigate the threshold between life and death through delicate mark-making and bold contrasts. Winsor & Newton ProMarkers are a trusted part of my process; their rich, alcohol-based inks bleed with purpose, allowing me to build layered atmospheres of light and melancholy. Every gradient tells a story; each bloom and bruise recorded in saturated colour.”
